TeamCompanion brings even more 'team-ness' into Team System. By tying Outlook and Desktop Search with TFS, TeamCompanion bridges the collaboration of stakeholder and development worlds. It’s a great idea.

A must-have tool for everyone who works heavily with Work Items in TFS. Finally you have e-mail and work item communication in one tool and you can use Outlooks rich grouping and searching capabilities to organize your work items as well.

We are very happy we found this tool from Ekobit. It is the perfect solution, as it solves many problems, starting with the missing HTML feature (that even TFS 2010 did not solve). It beautifully integrates e-mail and Outlook with Team Foundation Server and that makes TeamCompanion the single best thing you can do to improve your project communication with developers and clients.

My job, like many others, require me to use both Outlook and Team Foundation Server. Team Companion breaks down the walls between Outlook and TFS, by providing a nice, seamless integration. To put it simply, it saves me time … several times a day. Love it!

With the TeamCompanion you can access project related information using Outlook without having to switch between applications. It enables accessing some of most important artifacts in your Team System environment, such as team projects, work items, etc., without the need to use the Visual Studio Team Explorer or Team System Web Access.
TeamCompanion enables you to take your work items offline – all work item data is available for read-only access, even if your Team Foundation Server is not accessible. You only need to connect to the server when editing Work Items.
By integrating standard Outlook actions, the TeamCompanion increases your productivity dramatically. E-mails can directly be attached to existing work items, thereby enhancing team communication and cooperation, new work items can easily be created (from scratch or based on selected e-mails) or new appointments created from work items.

With the TeamCompanion you can take advantage of some standard Outlook features, such as the instant search feature which searches through all work item fields, even if you are offline, or the grouping and favorite folders features.
