Make use of this special opportunity, and participate in a specialized Visual Studio Team System Mini Bootcamp Training!
Through this two-day training, you will be guided by Ognjen Bajic, a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional for the Team System (MVP) and Ivan Kardum (MCSD.NET, PMP), both of whom, according to appraisals of past trainings in the Microsoft business-technological centre, are among the top lecturers in the MSPTC.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION
The Visual Studio is a tool intended exclusively for development engineers. Other members of the development team make do using separate programs (e.g., for planning and monitoring development flow) and more or less integrated add-ons (testing, source file control). The ideal development environment integrates tools not only at one work station, but can connect all team members, automate their communication and integrate processes they participate in.
The Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) brings this new, fully integrated tool cluster exactly. It provides support to the overall cycle of software projects and to all team members, to project managers, architects, testing engineers and development engineers especially. This new integrated work environment enables quality, non-stop communication and frictionless information flow.
The VSTS is a dream come true for each project manager, for it integrates planning and monitoring of the development flow. Default reports and statistics, automated and timely flow of quality information and a high level of control over the current phase are but a few of exciting news we will present.
For the first time within the Visual Studio tool, we have support for automated testing and test-driven development. With the aid of unit tests, code coverage and static code analysis, the VSTS enables writing better, more stable and reliable code. Automatic bug detection! Impossible? Come get the answers.
So far we used the Visual SourceSafe for managing program code, which is now a component part of the VSTS and brings new developments like shelving or the check-in policy.
The family of Team System tools has recently got a new member – The Team Edition for Database Professionals, which contains solutions for a series of standard problems regarding database development: versioning, deployment, unit tests etc.
Especially for this training, we also plan a visiting lecturer to talk about the SDL – Security Deployment Lifecycle. The lecture clarifies how to integrate security into the existing software development process and how project managers should execute the policy of application development, in order to better security and reliability. On the other hand, the lecture affords a series of powerful tools to programmers – in the form of methodologies, rules and examples, with the help of which they will be able to recognize standard and less standard defects in writing code.
If you develop software as a team, this is the perfect opportunity to come to know how software development can be fun, during a two full-day program.
INTENDED FOR WHOM?
The training is intended for project managers, architects, development engineers and testers.
BENEFITS
After the training, users will have the knowledge needed for independent installation and use of the new integrated development environment.
PREREQUISITES
Although beginners can attend the training, it would nevertheless be useful to have general knowledge of the application development area (methodology and tools).
