The Global DevOps Bootcamp takes place once a year at venues all over the world. Ekobit is a part of DevOps communities around the globe that will host this free one-day event!
The main topic of this year’s, second in a row, Global DevOps Bootcamp is the improvement of application delivery process. During the 24 hours time, the event is going to be held at 73 locations worldwide and the registration is free. The event is globally organized by Xpirit & Solidify, and Ekobit is organizing the event in Croatia.
The focus of Global DevOps Bootcamp lies on improving your release cadence with a motto: “From one release per month to multiple releases a day”. During the event, you will get familiar with a wide range of DevOps methods and tools that are directly applicable to everyday business.
The event will start with an introductory lecture held by Buck Hodges (@tfsbuck), the director of engineering for Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS). He will describe DevOps transformation at Microsoft and how they enhanced their Team Foundation Server (TFS) into a group of cloud services, while establishing appropriate infrastructure and practices that allow them to release applications multiple times a day.
After the first part of the event, Ekobit’s experts, Ognjen Bajić and Ana Roje Ivančić, are going to describe in details numerous DevOps practices like safe delivery, automated testing, production rings, etc.
The main part of the global event is going to be a hackathon with participants working on various challenges that include DevOps skills.
